Installation

Pia is available as a Windows desktop application with auto-updates via Velopack.

System Requirements

• Windows 10 or later (x64)
• .NET 10 runtime (bundled in self-contained builds)

Download

1. Go to the Pia Releases page
2. Download the latest Pia-Setup.exe installer
3. Run the installer — Pia will launch automatically

Auto-Updates

Pia checks for updates on startup. When a new version is available, it downloads and applies automatically on next launch.

Before installing an update, Pia checks that every program file in it (each .exe and .dll) carries a valid digital signature from neo42 GmbH, Microsoft Corporation or OpenJS Foundation. If a single file fails that check, the update isn’t installed, and Pia stays on the version you have.
