Optimize
Optimize rewrites and improves your text — for clarity, grammar, tone, and more — using a template. The window is titled Text Optimization.
Optimizing Text in the App
Section titled “Optimizing Text in the App”- Type, paste, or dictate your text
- Pick a Template (the default is Clarity & Grammar)
- Choose your Output language
- Click Optimize (or press Ctrl+Enter)
- Compare the Original and Optimized panels
- Choose what to do with the result:
- Accept — apply the result
- Reject — discard it
- Copy — copy it to your clipboard
- Send to… — send it to the Assistant

Fast Path: Optimize From Any App
Section titled “Fast Path: Optimize From Any App”A global keyboard shortcut lets you optimize text from any app in one keystroke.
- Open Settings and look for Fast Path (“Capture, optimize and apply in one keystroke”)
- Set your shortcut
- In any app, select some text
- Press the shortcut
Pia captures the selection, optimizes it, and applies it back.
What Accept Does
Section titled “What Accept Does”What Accept does is set by your output action in Settings:
- Copy to clipboard
- Paste into the previous window
- Auto-type
If pasting fails, the text is copied to your clipboard instead.
Templates Shape the Result
Section titled “Templates Shape the Result”Templates tell Optimize how to improve your text. Pia comes with built-in templates — Clarity & Grammar is the default — and you can create your own.
The default template can’t be deleted. To make your own, see the Templates guide.
History
Section titled “History”Your past optimizations are saved and searchable, so you can find an earlier result whenever you need it.
