Flow

Flow is Pia’s attention rail: a panel on the right edge of the window where everything that needs your attention shows up — reminders, todo deadlines, finished background chats, scheduled-job results, and status messages — as small cards, newest first.

A slim handle sits on the right edge of the window, with a bell icon and a badge showing how many live items are waiting. Click it to slide the Flow panel open; click outside it (or the chevron in its header) to close it.

The header has three controls:

  • Clear all (broom) — dismiss every card.
  • Pin — keep Flow docked open. While it’s pinned, the main content makes room for it instead of being covered.
  • Collapse (chevron) — close the panel.

When nothing needs you, Flow reads “You’re all caught up.”

If a new item arrives while the panel is closed and Pia’s window is in front, the card gives a brief “peek” from the edge; more urgent ones linger a little longer.

Each card shows an icon for where it came from, a title, a short line, and a timestamp. Cards come from:

SourceExample
Background chatsA chat you left running shows a status pill — Waiting for confirmation, Done, or Error
RemindersA reminder fires, with Snooze and Done buttons
Todo deadlinesDue within 24h, escalating to Overdue · Nd
Scheduled jobsBriefing ready or Run failed
Status messagesConfirmations and notices from around the app

A coloured stripe on each card signals how important it is, from routine info up to items that need action. Everything in Flow comes from a real event — Pia never fills it with AI-generated suggestions.

  • Open the link — most cards have an action such as Open chat or Open todo that jumps you straight to the right place.
  • Reminders — use Snooze (10 minutes) or Done right on the card.
  • Dismiss one — hover a card and click the .
  • Clear all — the broom in the header.

Routine status messages fade on their own after a moment. Reminders, deadlines, background-chat, and scheduled-job cards stay until you deal with them — and they survive a restart, so you won’t miss them. Your pin choice is remembered too.

Flow is always available, in every window. It’s especially useful with the assistant: send it off on a long task, switch away, and the finished (or blocked) chat lands in Flow as a card — with a status pill and an Open chat link that takes you straight back to it. See Assistant Chats & History.
